Taiwan Rivers

10 days $3200 USD

Class III+ - IV 5-15 miles per day 5 different rivers Creek boating Advanced paddlers Scenic waterfalls Hot springs Glamping World-class support staff

This training will take place in remote mountainous regions of Taiwan. These are small, highly technical rivers, with endless rapids, narrow canyons, and beautiful scenery. Taiwan is a Semi-Tropical (in the North) Island with thousands of rivers, over 100 wild hot springs, and millions of waterfalls. The terrain is very steep compared to anywhere in the US, and the jungles are thick. It’s one of the most beautiful and exciting places in the world to packraft. We will packraft through a series of rivers with different mineral compositions, making them teal green or crystal clear and blue, in deep valleys, through narrow canyons, and over hundreds of rapids.

Know the demands of a multi-day expedition.

Multi-day river travel involves moving water, remote terrain, changing weather, wilderness camping and delayed access to medical care. Review SSI’s participation and self-rescue requirements before selecting an expedition.
