Verification of Swiftwater Training
Issued for recreational river users and specialty training. This electronic training-verification record documents the course and training dates and does not carry an expiration date.
Internationally Recognized Records
SSI training records are used across professional guiding, public safety, federal agencies, military units and international response organizations.
Certification Length
Validity depends on the course and demonstrated performance.
Certified Training
Certified SSI training may carry a certification period of up to three years. An instructor may issue a one- or two-year certification when practical-skills evaluation supports a shorter period. The assigned period is documented through the SSI Core Competencies evaluation and explained to the student.
Non-Certified Training
REC-I and other recreational or specialty courses receive electronic verification of the completed training dates. These records validate participation but do not expire.
